Tracking Sassy: Keeping hope alive
Just wanted to follow up with a note to let you know we found our cat,
Sassy. Two days after you and Salsa helped us track her, she showed up in
our neighbor's yard, safe and sound. The neighbor recognized her from a
photo that we'd given him. Maybe she followed my scent back home? I'm not
sure, but we sure were glad to see her.
When we found her, she was pretty scared,
and was hesitant to come to us. When she got back inside, she ate two plates
of food and took a very long nap.
I'm encouraged by the fact that she came
home on her own. Maybe that means we can acclimate her to the neighborhood
and keep her as our pet. We'll see.
By the way, the folks at that house were
very gracious and allowed us to set up our traps in their shed. They gave us
free run of their property to manage the traps, and we went there several
times each day to check the traps and call for the cat.
Thank you so much for coming so quickly to
help us track Sassy. I can't be certain that it's ultimately what brought
her back to us, but at the very least, it gave us hope and incentive to keep
actively searching for her. I think what you and Salsa do is so worthwhile,
and I really admire you guys for providing this service to pet owners.
Watching the two of you in action was amazing.
Thanks again, and God bless you.
